Innovation, for everyone

At Roundtable, we believe groundbreaking technologies are best developed when R&D teams with deep technical expertise are empowered with commercial insight and support.

Our mission is to make innovation easier and accessible to every company. To that end, we are focused on breaking down the barriers between companies and external partners to unblock technology development.

Principles

At Roundtable, our beliefs and values guide everything we do:

Everyone Can Innovate
Innovation isn't limited by job titles. With the right tools, employees at any level can contribute ideas and identify technological advancements.
Industry-Driven Research
Applied research ought to compete for resources based on commercial potential. Industry is best equipped to drive this, but there's currently no efficient market for evaluating these projects.
Academic Freedom
While industry-sponsored R&D projects should benefit both the companies and researchers, the researchers must have the freedom to execute the project and report results without interference or compromise.

David Chataway, Co-Founder

Metal smelting furnaces aren't what most people think of when they hear "innovation," but my time as an R&D engineer showed me otherwise. Working with mining clients around the world, I developed new technologies and saw firsthand the power of collaboration between industry, research firms, and academia. However, I also experienced the challenges: needing external expertise and equipment, finding the right partners, navigating the red tape and overcoming the funding gaps for capital-intensive research. With Roundtable, I'm excited to help researchers and companies overcome these hurdles. No matter the industry, we're here to bring great research to market.

We'd love to hear from you
